IMPORTANT : Always make sure the suction cups you use respect security standards. To lift vertically multiply carrying values by at least 2 To lift up on the side of an object multiply values by at least 4 When bellows vacuum cups are used multiply carrying values by at least 2 Never use bellows vacuum cups to lift vertically on the side of an object ( the suction cup will bend up) The lifting force of a vacuum suction cup is proportional to its surface area. To determine the diameter in mm of a vacuum suction cup use the formula below : 113 x √[(weight en Kg x security factor) / (% vacuum x number of cups used)] Example : Lifting a tin of paint weighing 10Kg by the top cover with 1 single suction cup. The vacuum is provided at 60% by the vacuum generator; The security factor is established at 2; The diameter of the suction cup needs to be : 113 x √ (10 x 2 / 60x1) = 113 x √ 0.333 = 113 x 0.577 = 65 mm diameter |
