More advantages with the RapidMark® tool

RapidMark® is definitely faster than engraving during the marking process -10 to 15 times faster!

The same software program is used with the RapidMark® tool as with an engraving tool, no extra specific software is required.
No stress is created in the part when marking with the RapidMark® tool  because no metal is removed - unlike engraving.
No rotating spindle is needed to carry out high quality marking.

An engraving tool needs to be sharpened correctly –a specialist job– and an engraving tool also needs to be sharpened quite frequently as the engraving technique requires the tool to turn rapidly on it's sharp end with pressure to push the cutting end into the metal to be engraved –this blunts the engraving tool.
Shut down time and tool replacement time must thus also be added into the production  cost calculation.
The RapidMark®  tool needs no regular sharpening.

If an engraving tool is not sharpened properly the quality of the engraving will be poor.
The RapidMark® tool needs no regular sharpening.

The RapidMark® tool has a solid carbide stylus which touches the metal and indents it (the micro-percussion technique)  thereby incurring only very little wear.
A RapidMark® stylus will mark many thousands of times before needing to be sharpened– thereby considerably cutting down tool changing time.
There are virtually no maintenance costs with the RapidMark® tool. The only moving parts are the spring and the stylus both of which are designed for very very long term use.

No need to change the stylus for different applications with RapidMark®, the same stylus can mark all materials (up to 62 HrC Rockwell)  -an engraving tool in a CNC machine must be adapted to the metal it needs to engrave and it is not possible to engrave metal that is very hard in a CNC machine.

No need to deburr the piece after  marking with RapidMark®.
Engraving creates burrs on the piece which must be deburred after marking. With the RapidMark® tool  there are no burrs,  saving even more time, increasing productivity.
No preparation or sharpening is needed before use. RapidMark® is always ready to work in the machine's tool store.
RapidMark® : THE INNOVATION YOU NEED IN YOUR C.N.C. MILLING MACHINE.
THE ECONOMICAL SOLUTION TO YOUR  DIRECT PART MARKING REQUIREMENTS.
