Use PUNCH PIN™ self piercing fasteners to fix light loads onto sheet steel and onto soft metals.

PUNCH PIN™ fasteners were specially developed to fix light loads to sheet steel between 0.5 mm and 2 mm thick and also to fix parts onto soft metals like aluminium, copper, bronze…

PUNCH PIN™ fasteners are very easy to use, to fasten quickly, simply and permanently without any drilling and without glue providing a permanent fastening.
PUNCH PIN™  self piercing fasteners are made from tempered carbon steel. A Zinc-Chrome plating assures excellent protection from corrosion.
PUNCH PIN™ self piercing fasteners make their own hole in the base metal.

HOW TO USE  PUNCH PIN™ FASTENERS TO FIX LIGHT LOADS ONTO SHEET STEEL OR SOFT METALS ?

PUNCH-PIN™ fasteners can be fixed into sheet steel or onto soft metals using the AMTAK air hammer equipped with a magnetic driver.
A lightweight, portable, air hammer is used for making attachments to equipment or machinery.
In certain cases using the magnetic driver on its own with a half pound mallet is sufficient.

The AMTAK air tool was designed specifically for attaching METAL TACK™ and PUNCH PIN™  self piercing fasteners and operates on 4 to 7 bars ( 60-100 psi).

The  PUNCH PIN™  is held on the tip of a magnetised driver, which allows the operator a clear view of his fastening operation.

The operator simply positions the PUNCH PIN™  where he or she wants to fix the part and presses down onto the base metal and then squeezes the trigger of the air gun.

The air pressure forces the PUNCH PIN™  into the base metal which creates its own grip around the  5 grooves in the PUNCH PIN™  shank  providing an effective and secure fastening that will need up to 100 kg of force to pull it out  depending on the base metal.

PUNCH PIN™  fasteners provide a permanent fixing solution for attaching parts to sheet metal and soft base metals.
